Insurance Services
The City of Three Forks is seeking submittals from qualified firms or individuals to provide the City with Worker’s Compensation coverage for its employees and volunteers. Applicants must be currently licensed in the State of Montana. Applicants should have a minimum of three years of experience. A complete scope of work to be provided in proposal may be found on the City’s website at www.threeforksmontana.us/public-notices
Submittals must be received no later than 5:00 PM, Friday, March 13, 2026, and be addressed to: City of Three Forks, P.O. Box 187, 206 Main Street, Three Forks, MT, 59752, (406) 285-3431, or via email at cturner@threeforksmontana.us.
When responding to this RFQ, please include the following:
- A company overview, including a summary of the experience of the individual/firm’s key personnel, and whether you/your firm has a dedicated claims adjuster or a team.
- A copy of the State license.
- Number of years providing workers’ comp policies.
- References of local government customers in Montana, if any.
- Financial strength rating.
- Whether you/your firm offer an online claims portal for ease of access/communicating on any claims, other administrative support.
- Whether you/your firm offer on-site safety inspections, safety training resources, experience mod reduction strategies, or return to work programs.
- The individual/firm’s projected workload over the next two years for clients other than the City of Three Forks.
- Unique or extraordinary skills or qualifications, or other value-added services provided.
- Cost per hour (or percentage of overall cost) for regular individual/firm’s services. Please include travel charges or other incidentals if billed separately, if applicable.

Zoning Issues
NOTICE is hereby given for a PUBLIC HEARING to be held before the Three Forks Zoning and Planning Board on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. in the City Office, 206 Main Street, Three Forks, Montana.
Richard Clarke has submitted an application for a CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT to operate a log firewood cutting business and sales business, the Neighborhood Highway Business District on Certificate of Survey 466 minor subdivision Lot 3. The lot is located south of the Three Forks Family Dollar store (95787 Highway 2). The business requested would be similar to a wholesale distributor. Here is the staff report.
The CITY COUNCIL will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 6:00 P.M., to act on the recommendation of the Zoning & Planning Board.
At each PUBLIC HEARING, TESTIMONY will be taken in support of and in opposition to this request. Written testimony is also acceptable, until 5 PM on the day each meeting, and may be sent to PO Box 187, Three Forks, MT 59752 or ksmith@threeforksmontana.us.

The Zoning & Planning board has been meeting additional dates outside of their regularly scheduled 3rd Thursday of the month. Their next meeting is 11/20 at 6:30PM held at City Hall, 206 S. The Three Forks Zoning & Planning Board will hold a public hearing on January 15, 2026, at 6:30PM at City Hall located at 206 S. Main Street, Three Forks, Montana. The purpose is to present two drafted ordinances regulating the use of City right-of-ways by Telecommunication Service Providers and Small Cell Regulations. Then the ordinances will be heard before the City Council (see below).
