REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Park Mowing, Cleanup, and Weed Control & Fertilizer
The City of Three Forks is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide weekly mowing services for the City parks during the growing season, a spring and fall clean-up (including bagging/picking up all leaves/branches/twigs) of all the parks, weed control and fertilizer applied (as needed), as well as “roundup” weed control in the playground/gravel areas (as needed). The City prefers to enter into a multi-year contract at the rate submitted. If bagging and removal of grass clippings is extra, please note any additional fee. Please break down the cost by mowing, spring/fall cleanup, and weed control, as well as the length of time in your proposal. Work is seasonal and typically begins in late April through September. City parks for maintenance include:
1. Stevenson Park |
6. Helton-Peterson Park |
2. Bertagnolli Park |
7. Veteran Park |
3. John Q. Adams Railroad Park |
8. Sacajawea Park |
4. Bellach Park (ponds area) |
9. Well #5 Lot |
5. Lift Station on Oak St. |
10. Library |
Please submit proposals in person, via mail, or email to: City of Three Forks, PO Box 187, 206 Main Street, Three Forks, MT, 59752, or cturner@threeforksmontana.us. For questions, please call (406) 285-3431. Proposals must be received no later than 5:00 PM, Friday, February 21, 2025.
City Hall Remodel Starting 1/2025
City Hall will begin a remodel project starting in January 2025. We will temporarily be moving to the Three Forks Community Library basement at 607 S. Main Street, while the work is done.
City Hall will be setup to handle all of your needs we currently provide, just on a much smaller scale. It may inconvenient for some of you as well to come downstairs - so we are working on where we can provide a payment drop slot, or if you need to discuss something more in depth we are happy to make appointments and meet you upstairs in the Library.
This majority of this project will be funded via a House Bill 355 "State-Local Infrastructure Partnership Act" grant the City decided upon in December 2023, with the grant applications submitted last March. The remodel includes removal of a couple walls to enlarge the office and City Council Chambers area.
SLIPA funds were set aside for each local government to apply for. Projects were prioritized by drinking water and wastewater systems, fire suppression systems, streets, roads, bridges, landfills, street lights, airports, and public buildings.
Fire Hall Addition
Three Forks submitted 3 grant applications: Library ADA door replacement and re-roofing, Fire Hall addition, and City Hall remodel. Unfortunately, the Fire Hall was not awarded a grant, as an addition was not considered maintenance. However, the Council felt the Fire Hall was still a priority so will be using Fire Department Capital Improvement Funds to build an additional ADA bathroom with shower, one non-ADA bathroom with shower, and a small training/office space off the back of the existing building. Since this project is not under the timeline constraints of grant funding, this will begin once City Hall is complete.
Library ADA Doors & Re-Roof
The Library doors have been ordered and are anticipated to be ready in mid-January. We are currently in process of completing a service agreement for the building to be re-roofed. Once the door is replaced, the ADA ramp will and landing will be rebuilt as well. This will mean that patrons will need to enter the Library from one of the side entrances, but we hope this will not last longer than a few weeks. As we get closer to that work, we will keep you updated here and on our Facebook page.
