Open Records

Open Records provides a mechanism for citizens to inspect or copy government records. It also provides for times in which governmental bodies may elect to, or are required by law to, withhold government records from the public. The City of Three Forks supports a transparency within our local government pursuant to 2-6-110, MCA. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us by email or phone.

Pursuant to 2-3-214(7)(b), MCA, the Council meetings audio recordings are available upon request.  We currently stream the meetings live on our Facebook page, and Facebook will keep the videos available to the public for a minimum of 30 days.  Older recordings may be deleted by Meta.  If you wish to view or listen to an older recording, please come to City Hall to request the specific date as we still have all the audio recordings readily available back to 2019, and most video recordings.

Most record requests may be fulfilled very quickly and at little cost.  Some requests may take more time and as such fees are charged accordingly.  Please complete the form below.  Fees were last adopted in 3/2021 and are defined within the form.
