Zoning Regulation Rewrite

If you've been following our news, you are well aware the City is knee deep in re-writing its Zoning Regulations. So far the Zoning & Planning Board has completed chapters 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 and forwarded those on to the City Council to being the process of ordinance changes at their public hearings.
It's finally the time for the "meat" of the regulations: Residential District.
On 10/22/2025 at 6:30PM, the Zoning & Planning Board will review the draft chapters for the Agricultural, Residential, and Home Business Chapters.

These meetings are open to the public to just listen and learn, or engage and participate with your input on what you like, don't like, question how it would be developed, etc. Don't want home businesses of any type in the residential district? Want larger lots, or smaller setbacks? Think offstreet parking is an unnecessary requirement? Now's your time to speak up and help guide the growth, density, style, and many more zoning features of the future developments in our town.
